Faith and sports have been lifelong passions of mine. At three years old, I vividly recall my cousin receiving a baseball glove for Christmas and immediately asking my parents for one as well. That treasured gift ignited my love for the Chicago Cubs, the hometown team of the city where I was born. The Chicago Bulls' three-peat NBA Championship era inspired me to strive to be the best basketball player I could be during my teenage years.

As my identity as an athlete grew, so did my faith in the Lord. I was blessed to have parents, coaches, and mentors who helped me understand the importance of placing my identity in the Lord first. They encouraged me to enjoy being an athlete while giving all glory to God. Throughout the years, I have enjoyed playing and coaching basketball, softball, and swimming. My experiences in athletics fostered a passion for leadership development. I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Development with a minor in Human Performance and Wellness from Trinity International University, followed by a Master’s degree in Counseling Ministries from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. For 15 years, I worked in Student Affairs, where I focused on developing the next generation of leaders through roles in Residence Life, Career Development, teaching leadership courses to incoming freshmen, and leading several mission trips. After five years in chiropractic care as a therapist and co-practice manager, the Lord guided me to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

A desire for international missions was planted in my heart as a young girl when one of my nannies went on a mission trip to Africa. I realized the vastness of God's love and His desire for “not wanting any to perish, but to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9). I have participated in and led several mission trips to Costa Rica, Jamaica, New Mexico, Mexico, and Zambia. One of the highlights of my higher education career was leading a missions trip to Zambia, where I formed meaningful relationships and witnessed the transformation of my students.

In the summer of 2022, as I concluded my time in chiropractic care, I prayed, “Lord, put me where people need Jesus. You created me with specific gifts, skills, and passions, so please place me in a role where I can develop leaders who desire to make a kingdom impact.” The Lord answered by leading me to FCA, a path for which I am deeply humbled and grateful.
