Faith has always been a part of my life, but it wasn’t until I transitioned into college that I truly began to understand what it meant to follow Christ. I started at the University of Illinois Springfield playing baseball, but quickly realized that chasing success on the field wasn’t enough to satisfy me. In the middle of that struggle, God used FCA to open my eyes to the gospel in a new way. Surrounded by other athletes who battled the same questions and were pursuing Christ, I began to see that my purpose was not rooted in performance but in Him. That season of my life became a spiritual marker as God was slowly shifting my identity from baseball to something far greater.

After transferring to Aurora University, I faced more challenges that tested my faith, including health issues that ultimately led to a medical redshirt. What I first saw as a setback, God used as an opportunity. It was during that time that I truly felt His presence take shape in my life. I became more involved with ministry, leading Bible studies, investing in teammates, and helping revive FCA on campus. I also sought an internship with FCA, and through those experiences, God made it clear that He was preparing me for a future of serving Him. Sports were no longer about me, but about building community, helping others live out their full potential, and ultimately finding peace and purpose in the only true source of satisfaction.

I graduated in 2024 with bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Marketing, and in May of 2025, I completed my MBA in Sport Management at Aurora. Since graduating, I got married this past August, and my wife and I are stepping into this new season with excitement for what God is doing. My calling with FCA is to serve coaches and athletes who, like me, may wrestle with identity and purpose. I want to engage, equip, and empower them to see sports not as the end goal but as a platform to glorify Christ.

Looking ahead, my vision is to build strong relationships within the club sports community in my area and to create opportunities where coaches and athletes can encounter Jesus in real and life-changing ways. My testimony is a reminder that God works through both valleys and victories, and I am confident that He has called me to FCA to walk alongside others as they discover that same truth for themselves.
